Concrete Patios, Walkways & Driveways
in North York, Toronto
Durable poured and stamped concrete surfaces for patios, walkways, and driveways — built to handle Toronto's freeze-thaw cycles.
Overview
Concrete is one of the most durable surface options for Toronto's climate — properly reinforced and finished, it lasts decades with minimal maintenance. Kenny Kim Landscaping installs poured concrete patios, walkways, and driveways with proper base preparation, control joints, and finishing options including exposed aggregate and stamped patterns.
What's included
Poured Concrete Patios
Flat and level patio slabs finished smooth, brushed, exposed aggregate, or stamped to your preference.
Concrete Walkways
Durable pathways connecting your home, garage, and garden — finished to complement your existing hardscape.
Concrete Driveways
Reinforced concrete driveways with proper expansion joints to handle Toronto freeze-thaw movement.
Base Preparation & Drainage
Adequate sub-base depth, compaction, and drainage slope — the foundation that makes concrete last.
How it works
- 01
Layout & Excavation
We stake out the area, excavate to the required depth, and grade for proper drainage away from structures.
- 02
Base & Forming
We compact the sub-base, set forms, and install reinforcing steel or mesh as required.
- 03
Pour & Finish
Concrete is poured, screeded, and finished to your chosen texture — typically 1–2 days per section.
- 04
Cure & Seal
We allow proper cure time before opening to traffic and apply a penetrating sealer for long-term protection.
Outcome
Clean, durable concrete surfaces that complement your home and hold up through decades of Toronto winters — with the finish options to make them look as good as they perform.

FAQs
Everything you need to know.
- How long before I can drive on a new concrete driveway?
- We recommend keeping vehicles off new concrete for at least 7 days, and heavy vehicles for 28 days. Full cure strength is reached at 28 days.
- Why is my existing concrete cracking?
- Concrete cracks most commonly due to inadequate base preparation, missing control joints, or freeze-thaw movement. We assess whether repair or replacement is the better long-term option.
